Easter Eggs in a basket in Wichita, KS

The Wichita area has many family-friendly Easter activities happening including gigantic Easter eggs hidden at the zoo, glow in the dark Easter eggs at the skate center, and lots of opportunities for pictures with the Easter Bunny. The team at Davis-Moore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is gearing up for Easter fun and has its list of the four places to bring the kids to celebrate the Easter season.

1. Eggcelent Bunny Hop

Wichita welcomes the Easter Bunny to Towne West Square with an Eggcelent Bunny Hop on Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids and adults alike will enjoy activities including pictures with the Easter Bunny, crafts, bounce houses, and games with the first 250 kids receiving a free swag bag of Easter goodies. Don’t worry about lunch as hot dogs, drinks, and even a little candy will also be available.

2. Bunny Blast and Egg Hunt at O.J. Watson Park

Join Wichita Park and Recreation for their annual Bunny Blast and Egg Hunt at O.J. Watson Park on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to noon. Children ages 2-10 can hunt for eggs to fill their Easter baskets, register for Easter basket giveaways, get their picture with the Easter Bunny and try to guess how many jelly beans are in a jar. Make sure to bring your camera to capture all the fun. Gates open at 9:45 a.m. with a cash-only admission of $5 per car.

3. Easter Eggstravaganza at the Zoo

The Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita hosts the Easter Eggstravaganza at the Zoo on Saturday, April 20, with lots of fun activities for kids of all ages and abilities. In addition to regular zoo activities, visitors can meet the Easter Bunny, play games, and hunt for gigantic Easter eggs. Keep track of the number of eggs you find and collect a prize on your way out.

This event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a special needs egg hunt happening at 1 p.m. and a visually impaired hunt taking place at 2 p.m. Regular zoo admission does apply to this event.

4. Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt Skate and Play

Wichita’s Carousel Skate Center is hosting a Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt Skate and Play on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for children 10 and under. Skaters will enjoy an Easter Bunny Meet & Greet, dancing to music from Kidz Bop and Disney, and an opportunity to play in the center’s new Play Zone. Synergy Arts is even providing free face painting for the day.

Tickets are limited and will most likely sell out before the event, so purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. All attendees must have a ticket for this event with admissions being $9.99 for participants and $4.99 for adults who are not skating.

With spring in full bloom, there is no better time to start getting into the Easter spirit. Grab the kids, gather the baskets, and get ready for an eggcellent Easter season.
