As part of the second generation introduced in 2014, the 2020 Jeep Cherokee is a powerful vehicle that offers plenty of interior space and high-tech features. Edmunds named the 2020 model as the fifth-best small SUV. The Cherokee is the largest of Jeep’s crossovers and sets itself apart thanks to its off-road capabilities. Keep reading to learn more about the five trims available with the 2020 Cherokee.

Latitude

As the base trim, the Latitude is anything but basic. The standard engine found on this trim is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. It comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Other standard equipment found with this trim include 17-inch aluminum wheels, automatic LED headlights, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. When it comes to technology, it features Bluetooth connectivity, two USB ports, a 7-inch touch-screen display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is optional.

Latitude Plus

The Latitude Plus piggybacks off of the Latitude trim but offers several interior perks, including a power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather accents on the upholstery. To keep you and your passengers entertained, it comes standard with satellite radio and an extra USB port. Standard safety features include rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Available upgrades include a power liftgate, dual-zone climate control, remote start, and auto-dimming rearview mirror. If you opt for all-wheel drive, you can choose to have the Active Drive II with Active Drive Lock system.

Limited

The Limited trim includes many of the Latitude’s optional features, but they come standard on this trim. These features include leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, nine-speaker audio system, and an 8.4-inch touch-screen display. The vehicle also includes 18-inch wheels, a power liftgate, and power-folding mirrors. The Active Drive II system is optional.

Trailhawk

As the off-roading option, the Trailhawk also resembles the Limited trim but includes the Active Drive II system. Powering this trim is a 3.2-liter V-6 engine that makes 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, the vehicle attains a maximum of 4,500-pound towing capacity. The other available engine for this trim is a 2.0-liter turbocharged one that makes 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This latter engine can tow up to 4,000 pounds. It’s only available in four-wheel drive.

Overland

The top-of-the-line Overland trim comes standard with driver-seat memory functions, upgraded nappa leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats. It also includes the largest wheels of all of the trims with 19-inch wheels. To help you enjoy a quiet ride, the vehicle includes a sound-deadening windshield and front windows. An HD radio and navigation also come standard.
